About Us
We’re so glad that you want to learn more about us! The SDP Bay Area website was created and is managed by members of the local Self Determination Local Advisory Committees. These members are from three Bay Area regional centers, Golden Gate Regional Center (GGRC), Regional Center of the East Bay (RCEB), and San Andreas Regional Center (SARC). By providing resources for individuals and families to learn more about the Self-Determination Program (SDP), we hope to connect with current and potentially new SDP participants. Currently these regional centers offer a number of services and supports to adults with developmental disabilities. This website is further extending outreach for those interested and invested in the Self-Determination Program. Ultimately, we hope to serve as a valuable resource tool to help participants navigate through the SDP process and journey.
Self-determination advocates and their families, with funding from the Department of Developmental Services, designed the website as a central source of information. It will assist with enrolling in the program, receiving self-determined services, decision-making, and transitioning. Information on these specific topics can be all found readily on our resources page of the site. This site also lists other related self-determination program topics in detail, including helpful tips. In addition, the site provides a variety of supplemental resources on the Self-Determination Program, including videos, pdfs, worksheets, and brochures. New and current participants will find these resources very useful during their entire self-determination process.
By learning about us and taking advantage of our SDP Bay Area resources, we hope this will enrich your experience with the program and fully inform you of the entire SDP roadmap.
