Thank you for viewing our contact page. We are in the process of updating the website. For self-determination program questions, please contact your Bay Area regional center, listed below. Your regional center will be able answer any questions related to the participant’s case and the specific circumstances as related to the self-determination program. If you do not belong to either of these three Bay Area regional centers (Golden Gate Regional Center, Regional Center of the East Bay, and San Andreas Regional Center), you can look up the contact information of your local regional center from the Department of Developmental Services Regional Center Listings webpage.
This site is created and managed by members of the three Self-Determination Local Advisory Committees of Golden Gate Regional Center, Regional Center of the East Bay, and San Andreas Regional Center with the purpose of providing resources to learn more about the Self-Determination Program (SDP).
Self-determination advocates and their families, with funding from the Department of Developmental Services, designed the website as a central source of information to assist with enrolling in the program, receiving self-determined services, decision-making, and transitioning. Information on these specific topics can be all found in our resources page of the site which also lists other related self-determination program topics in detail, including helpful tips on navigating the Self-Determination process. In addition, the site also provides supplemental information on the Self-Determination Program, connecting you to a variety of other resources including videos, pdfs, tools, and brochures that new participants will find very useful in their self-determination journey.
The regional centers and their Local Advisory Committees hope you take advantage of the SDP Bay Area resources and services described on this website to better understand the self-determination program as another alternative option to the traditional services model as provided by current regional centers.
